Enjoy an amazing dinner the cowboy way. This will be a memorable experience from the tasty cuisine to the wagonwheel chandaliers and the excellent entertainment. James Drury "The Virginian" will be on hand to share his experiences, meet the guests and sign autographs. Tom Curlin and Jerry Walker will provide Cowboy Poetry, Los Pistoleros will reinact a gunfight and provide musical entertainment from their singing cowboys that include Day of the Cowboy co-founders "Cowboy Bill" Holden and "Wrangler Marv" (Marvin Hodge). All of the entertainers for Georgia's "Official Day of the Cowboy", to be held Saturday October 6, will be present. Western movies will be played on a reel-to-reel projector upstairs and there will be a model railroad display. All of this entertainment is a bonus because the food alone will be worth the ticket price and travel time. The menu includes a choice of Beef Stew or Western Santa Fe Chicken over Rice, Pinto Beans, Pico De Gallo salad with corn and black beans, Green Been Salad with fresh peppers, (Corn) Pan Bread and Wild Berry Cobbler for dessert. Sweet tea, water and coffee will be provided. Come and join us as we celebrate The Day of The Cowboy and honor the 50th anniversary of "The Virginian". The Rock Ranch is a 1330 acre ranch owned by Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy. This event is climate controlled and held inside Truett's Barn, a handicapped accessible facility with large restrooms, a great front porch, outdoor fireplaces and a collection of antique buggies, Remington statues and other unique treasures. This event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $34.95.
